I firmly support Heidi Hacking for Fairhaven’s Board of Health. It’s time to bring new ideas, accountability and forward thinking to our Board of Health, and I believe electing Heidi Hacking is the only way we’ll achieve that.
Stasia Powers on the Select Board and Kevin Gallagher on the Board of Health have been excellent upgrades to their respective boards. They have brought much needed integrity, decency and professionalism to board seats that clearly lacked those qualities for years. They represent moving Fairhaven forward, not stuck in the past.
Electing Heidi Hacking is the next step on that bright path for our town. Heidi brings a wealth of qualifications, a solid medical background and I believe equally important: a new and refreshing perspective on meeting the needs of our town’s ever changing health needs.
Like we’ve seen recently with a recalled Select Board member, a Select Board broadened from three to five and a charter committee: town government needs to evolve and grow to meet the needs of today’s and tomorrow’s challenges. Heidi is clearly the best suited and prepared for those challenges, and I highly respect her willingness to step up and serve. I will proudly cast my vote for Heidi Hacking for Board of Health, and I hope all my friends do the same.
