The Ukraine Crisis
As we loo upon the death and destruction that Putin has unleashed upon the nation of Ukraine we should pause and reflect on how fortunate we are to live in a country where we have freedoms and blessings that we have. We only have them because of the men and women who fought and died to defend them.
I would like to reflect upon the events that led up to this invasion. Start with Putin, he is a ruthless KGB member who has risen to his poistion as the leader, over the bodies of his opponents. He intends to restore the borders of Russsia a in former days. if Ukraine falls it will be just a starting point. He will go to Poland, Hungary, and beyond.
Peace has never been achieved from appeasement and concession. Your enemeis have to fear and respect you. While Biden was talking with Putin, Putin was amassing 150,000 troops and all their armament. What I say, is how foolish can you be and not think what Putin had in mind. I can practically guarantee you if Trump was president this would not have happened. He would have sent them all the armament they could use like he did in the past like the anti-tank Javelin missiles he did in the past.
Why do I say this? Let’s compare their records. Start with Biden’s. In January of 2021 Secretary of State Blinken sits down with China’s counterpart. China excoriates us. China calls us a racist nation* and accuses us of the COVID pandemic(2) . Blinken says nothing. He fails to mention that there is no freedom in China and they are enslaving and sterilzing Muslims.(3)
The Afghan debacle: Perhaps the worst in American history. We abandoned hundreds of Americans and Afghans in Afghanistan, despite assurances from Biden everything was under control.
Let’s look at Trump’s record.
North Korea: He confronted Kim Jon Ung who developing his nuclear arsenal and missiles to deliver them. He told him he had a bigger button and his worked. He put two aircraft carriers off his coast.(4) Kim backed down.
Iran: He killed Soleimani who was second in command in Iarn. He was responsible for the death of thousands of American soldiers.
He killed Al-Baghdadi, the leader of Al Qaeda, which was responsible for the Setp. 22, 2001 attack which brought down the twin towers and killed 3000 Americans.
He pulled out of the Iran nuclear deal and heavily sanctioned them preventing them from getting nuclear weapons.(5)
The Nord Stream Pipeline: He heavily sanctioned it. Stopping it from being built.(6)
Energy Independence: Under Trump’s presidencey we were energy independent and exporters of oil. (7)

EDITOR’S NOTES:
*China first called the US a racist nation in 2019, when Donald Trump was president. They did again in 2021.
(2) China first blamed the US for COVID in 2020, when Donald Trump was President. They have done it several more times since then.
(3) After a very well publicized “heated exchange” between Chinese officials and Sec. Blinken, the US sanctioned China over what the US called “genocide” of Uyghurs.
(4) No, he didn’t. He said he did, but the aircraft carriers actually were headed in the other direction.
(5) The Iran nuclear deal was designed to stop them from getting nuclear weapons. It is unclear how pulling out of it achieved that goal.
(6) Nord Stream runs under the Baltic Sea and carries gas from Russia to Germany. Presumably, Mr. Pond means the Keystone Pipeline, which was stopped before Trump or Biden became president. Trump tried to revive it but it stayed tied up in the courts.
(7) The import and export of oil in the US fluctuates from month to month. The US absolutely imported oil during the Trump years. We used less during the pandemic, and oil producing countries correspondingly produced less.
