Well, it looks like we have three contested races in Fairhaven this year (see page 4).
Select Board has six people running for three seats. No more griping that people don’t want to run or serve in office.
Board of Health is also contested, and Planning Board. I’m happy to say there are a couple of news names in there, too.
The Select Board hired a new Town Administator (pending contract negotiations, of course). Angie Lopes Ellison will be our new TA providing she can make the deal. So, our second TA of all time will be a woman. And a Cape Verdean woman to boot.
Ah, Fairhaven, the times they are a changing, and I am tickled. Read the story on page 3, but you might take the time to watch it on demand, too.
The BPW never fails to entertain (see page 11). They’re still at odds with the Tree Warden.
We have a couple of political letters/press releases this week. Let the games begin!
