After a couple of days of temperatures well below freezing and with wind chills dropping them into the teens, marshes and shorelines froze in Fairhaven. The marsh at Jack’s Cove, above, is not completely frozen, but it was well on its way on 1/16/22. It takes at least a few days of frigid temps to get the whole thing completely frozen over. Before that happened, temperatures hiked up just enough for a rain storm to pass through that night and melt all the ice. Temperatures dropped back into the 20s on Tuesday and are set to stay cold for a couple of days with more wind or snow on the way for Thursday.
