The Town of Acushnet has installed air monitors at locations near the PJ Keating neighborhood. Neighbors have been complaining about dust and other particles in the air that they say comes from the quarry and asphalt operation on South Main Street. An air monitor was installed at the Acushnet Council On Aging/Senior Center on South Main Street on 12/28/21. According to neighbors, one was installed at the end of Lawson Avenue, and one is at 46 Laura Keene Avenue. They will remain for about two weeks, and will be moved to other locations.
