Show your holiday spirit and creativity while contributing to Fairhaven’s inherent charm — especially during this time of year! All addresses in Fairhaven are eligible to participate.
Enter your front door or entryway into the first Festive Front Doors of Fairhaven contest, sponsored by the Fairhaven Historical Society. Judging will occur on December 11 and 12 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Only exterior decorations on a front door or entryway for the address side of a property will be judged.
Entry deadline is Friday December 3rd. An optional entry fee of $10 per household is gladly accepted and will be donated to the Greater New Bedford Food Pantry. Checks for the entry fee should be made out to the Fairhaven Historical Society. All entries must be sent to the Fairhaven Historical Society, P.O. Box 212, Fairhaven, MA 02719 by the deadline. Winners will be announced by December 17th. Three prizes will be awarded and yard signs will be bestowed upon the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place properties.
Judging will be based on creativity, the use of lights and decorations, and overall appearance. A nonpartial team of judges (who are not participating in the contest) will choose the winners.
