**Incident Update**
On Saturday, September 4, the vessel “Lady Hawk” sank in the vicinity of Nye’s Ledge. The vessel was located earlier this week with the assistance of the Massachusetts Environmental Police in the vicinity of Nye’s Ledge.
The hazard to navigation was removed from the waterway late on Friday afternoon, 9/10/21.
We would like to thank and commend the Mattapoisett Fire Rescue, Massachusetts environmental police, Mattapoisett Boatyard and Tucker Roy Marine Towing & Salvage [for] your assistance with this incident.
Six were aboard when the boat sank on 9/4 and were saved by a Good Samaritan.
