The 36th annual Teddy Bear parade, which traditionally marks the end of the summer reading program, resumed this year after a hiatus in 2020 due to COVID-19.
This year’s reading theme was Tails and Tales, and approximately 75 Teddy Bears and their humans joined in to enjoy bubbles, lawn games on the lawn of the Unitarian Church, and a parade from the Millicent Library to Our Lady’s Haven and back.
This year, due to continued COVID restrictions, the marchers did not have contact with OLH residents, but they were able to wave to the children as they went by.
