Press Release
The Millicent Library is excited to announce a new Head of Circulation Librarian. Elisabeth Botelho joined the library on April 5 bringing a wealth of library circulation experience with her.
Elisabeth comes from the Acushnet Public Library where she had been providing outstanding public service since 2017. During her time at Acushnet, she worked closely with patrons to help them with everything from finding great books to read to troubleshooting technology issues and more.
Prior to working at the Acushnet Public Library, Elisabeth held various positions at the Mildred F. Sawyer Library at Suffolk University mainly in circulation but also reference and interlibrary loan.
She has a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from Simmons University. In addition, she has a Bachelor’s of Science in Sociology and a Master’s Certificate in Global Human Resources from Suffolk University. Elisabeth has been applying her talents and creativity to continue to provide library patrons with services and access to materials as the library prepares for reopening. She looks forward to meeting the wonderful patrons of Millicent.
Outside of work, Elisabeth is an avid cruiser, who loves to snorkel especially over shipwrecks. She can be found walking with her dog on local nature trails. Lastly, as a true librarian, she hopes to add to her current one-cat household.
