The North Fairhaven Improvement Association had to cancel its annual Easter Egg hunt for the second year due to COVID-19 restrictions. But this year, the organization decided that, since the Easter Bunny was scheduled to be here anyway, they would all drive around town and at least let the children (of all ages) have a chance to see the big guy.
The antique fire truck was a little fussy the morning of Saturday, 4/3, so John Rogers showed up in an Emergency Management vehicle that worked out just fine.
The route started at Benoit Square and traveled to every part of town, with stops for photos and candy distribution at different places along the way.
At St. Mary’s Church, a crowd of about 40 people of all ages gathered, including little Aubrey, who decided she liked a lot about Easter, like coloring eggs, and eating good candy.
Maddie said she liked the Easter Bunny, too, because of the candy and the eggs.
Aubrey was not taking any chances, either. She wanted to make sure the Easter Bunny knew how she felt, so young Aubrey held up a home-made sign saying “I love you Easter Bunny.”
