We published our Halloween Trail issue last week to give you a little more time to find the spots on the trail, and to give you a chance to visit the places open a week early.
This Saturday is, of course, the big day, so we decided to just give you a quick list, with maybe one or two more. To see the trail in all its glory, see last week’s issue, 10/22/20.
Visit https://www.mass.gov/ news/halloween-during-covid-19 for more tips on how to have fun on Halloween during the pandemic.
Most of the residents on the trail will do their best to keep kids safe, but use our judgement. Stay apart from people, keep hand sanitizer handy, and try not to touch anything (except the candy).
The Trail/Fairhaven
1: 70 Oliver Street They are up and ready now, so feel free to go by anytime to look, but especially be prepared to be scared on Friday and Saturday this weekend and next from around 6–9.
2: 60 Oxford Street Ole Oxford Haunt, No screaming ghouls (we think?), and no walk-through (alas), but the front yard is spectacular. And you can check it out from the sidewalk, the street, or even stay in your car if you’re too scared to get out.
3: 127 Laurel Street. In the center of Fairhaven, where we KNOW there are other places that are spooky.
4: 88 Chestnut Street.
5: 66 Pleasant Street
6: Fairhaven Center. Don’t forget Green Street. That corner by the UU church is bound to be populated by creatures you’ve never encountered before.
7: 161 Dogwood Street They’ve got stuff cooking on the open fire… beware.
8: 166 Dogwood St. Cutting it close this year but hopefully I’ll be up and running for the big night.
9: 19 Weeden Road It’s pretty creepy looking. They’ll have treats for the tricksters
Acushnet
10: 8 Beech Street. This elaborate yard goes on forever and is best seen at night.
11: 18 Village Avenue. These guys clearly have the obsession. Take your garlic, wooden stake, salt, and…whatever
12: 11 Monmouth Avenue. The Baldwins are at it again and scarier than ever.
