Oh boy, it never ends.
Peter DeTerra and the Board of Health sat in judgement on a business in town that violated COVID-19 regs (page 22). Yeah…really…that really happened. The guy who had 150+ people at his house for a wedding in violation of COVID-19 regs voted to shut down a business in Fairhaven because they had too many people in the place, all the while sitting on a you’re-a-bad-boy letter from the state.
If I wrote this in a fiction piece it would get rejected as not believable, too stereotypical, too neatly packaged as small-town privileged the-rules-only-apply-to-the-little-people caricature.
I really couldn’t make this stuff up.
We also have some Selectboard coverage and Town Meeting coverage, both from last week.
Our cover shot is way cool, huh? It’s been pretty slim on events to cover this year, so we are getting creative with the covers. Glenn found some great foliage shots around Fairhaven.
And we didn’t forget that Halloween is this Saturday. We ran our Halloween Trail last week, but we’ve repeated the addresses on page 13 for those of you who missed it.
Our annual shopping issue is coming up soon, so if you’ve been thinking about advertising in the Neighb News to reach our loyal readership do not wait any longer. See ad on page three for details.
There’s plenty more in here of course. You’ll just have to thumb through to find it all. While you’re at it, please be sure to notice who our advertisers are and let them know you saw their ads in the Neighb News.
And thank you to our readers who have donated to us, especially in the last couple of weeks. Readers support is more important than ever.
Until next week then…see ya,
