The SouthCoast Community Foundation will host its biggest event of the year online marking 25 years of philanthropy in the region that included raising and disbursing nearly $5 million for COVID-19 relief.
Summer’s Last Blast will occur online Sept. 11 at 6 p.m. with a program that showcases such well-known local performers as the SouthCoast Brass Band and the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra.
The SouthCoast Community Foundation, which matches donors and resources to community needs, has played a key role in the region’s fight against the pandemic. In March, it created the South Coast COVID Relief Fund. With that fund, the foundation was able to award nearly $5 million in grants to organizations on the front lines of the pandemic. These organizations provide food, housing assistance, support for children and youth, and other help to our region’s most vulnerable populations.
Tickets for Summer’s Last Blast are available until September 10. To purchase tickets or make a donation, visit https://southcoastcf.org. Along with the purchase, ticketholders will receive a Last Blast Mystery Box to enjoy along with the event. This is an exclusive event for ticketholders only. If unable to join that evening, ticket holders will have access to an extended viewing.
All proceeds go to the SouthCoast Community Foundation. For any inquiries regarding sponsorship opportunities, donations or about the event, please contact Tricia Grime pgrime@southcoastcf.org.
