The third annual Conrad’s Law 5K on Saturday, 9/7, drew more than 100 participants to Fort Phoenix in Fairhaven. Conrad’s Law is a Bill in Massachusetts which would make suicide coercion illegal.
Conrad Roy III was a Fairhaven teenager who took his own life in 2014 at the age of 18 after someone he knew enouraged him to kill himself.
The 5K raises money to help get the law passed.
This year, the race donated $500 to Flags4Fallen who carry flags across finish lines all over the country and presents the family with a flag and photo of their loved one. Conrad’s Walk carried a flag in honor of Corey Comperatore.
