August 29, 2018 by Staff Writer

The Acushnet Police Department posted on Facebook that Main Street at St. Francis Xavier Church was shut down for about an hour around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday 8/28, due to a car carrier getting hung up on a bump where the parking lot meets Main Street. According to Acushnet Police Chief Michael Alves, Big Wheels Towing and Recovery, which specializes in rescuing big trucks, had to be called in to free the truck.
