On World Autism Awareness Day, Sunday, 4/2, thousands of landmarks, homes and businesses lit up with blue lights to mark the beginning of World Autism Month. All month long Autism Speaks asks homeowners and business owners to “Light it up Blue.” Iconic buildings that took part in the campaign included the White House, the Empire State Building, and Fenway Park. Hastings Middle School in Fairhaven support World Autism Awareness Day by dressing up in blue on Monday, 4/3 The t-shirts say “Love Teach Hope Inspire.” World Autism Day was 4/2 and marked the beginning of a month-long awareness campaign.
