Legal Notice Town of Fairhaven Invitation to Bid

TOWN OF FAIRHAVEN  INVITATION TO BID 

The Select Board of the Town of Fairhaven, Massachusetts, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from General Contractors for the roof replacement for Contractors for the roof replacement for the council on aging and recreational center in Fairhaven, MA at 227 Huttleston Ave., in accordance with the documents prepared by DHK architects

The scope of the work includes:

• Replacement of both roofs according to specifications in bid package.

General bidders and sub bidders must meet all Chapter 149 guidelines and must be DCAMM certified. All bids must include a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and a signed DCAMM Update Statement. General Bidders shall have completed similar work on at least five buildings

ITEM: General

BIDS DUE: Bids: Filed sub bids are due May 8th by 3:00 pm the General contractor is due May 15th 2025 by 3pm

A Pre-Bid Conference is to be held on April 17th at 10:00 am at 227 Huttleston Ave.

All bids for this project are subject to applicable public bidding laws of Massachusetts, including G.L. c.149, §44A through 44H, as amended.

Attention is directed to the minimum wage rates to be paid as determined by the Commissioner of Labor and Industries and the weekly payroll record submittal requirements under the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 through 27D inclusive.

Attention is further directed to the requirements of G.L. c.149, §44D requiring submission of a Division of Capital Asset Management-approved Certificate of Eligibility and Update Statement with all bids.

Selection of the contractor will be based upon bidder qualifications, including evidence of past performance in similar projects, and bid price. The contract will be awarded to the bidder deemed by the awarding authority to be the lowest responsible and eligible bidder.

The Town of Fairhaven reserves the right to waive any informalities, to accept or reject, in whole or in part any or all bids, or take whatever other action may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town.
