The Fairhaven High School Blue Devils beat the Dartmouth Indians in the 97th annual Thanksgiving Day football matchup under clear blue skies and temperatures in the 40s. Playing at home this year, the Blue Devils started the scoring in the second quarter, but then saw the game tied at 7-7 until the Blue Devils scored again in the third quarter. That 14-7 score held until the end of the game, but not without a lot of twists and turns, interceptions, and all-around fun-to-watch football. Traditional wisdom usually has it that Fairhaven is outmatched by the larger school to our west, however, this is the second year in a row that FHS has prevailed against the Indians.
